Projects & team

Keep projects and people in the right workspace

A project represents the site or property whose tracking key, integrations, and reporting data belong together. A workspace gives the right people access to the projects they need.

Projects

Create a separate project for each independent domain or product that needs its own tracking boundary, integrations, and reporting. Use the project switcher before changing a setting or reading a report—the selected project controls the dashboard’s data.

Invite collaborators

Use the account or team area to invite a collaborator. Grant only the access they need, and remove access when their work on the project ends. Invite links are intended for the people you explicitly add; do not post them in a public channel.

Working across environments

Keep production and test properties separate when you need clean reporting. A production tracking key should only be used on the production domain. Use the project’s allowed hosts and path boundaries to prevent accidental cross-environment traffic.
