Why ecommerce teams outgrow Google Analytics

  • GA4's enhanced e-commerce setup takes hours and breaks quietly when Shopify updates its checkout.
  • Revenue data lives four clicks deep — no one on your team actually looks at it weekly.
  • Cookie consent banners cut conversion by 10–20% before the visitor even reaches a product page.
  • You can't answer basic questions like "did Facebook Ads pay off last week?" without a custom report.
  • Sampled data at scale makes exact revenue reconciliation with Shopify or Stripe impossible.

How Clarvivo solves it

01. One-script install on Shopify, WooCommerce, or custom

Drop 2 lines of JavaScript into your theme (Shopify) or install the WordPress plugin (WooCommerce). Order events flow in automatically — no GTM, no custom dimensions, no enhanced e-commerce config.

02. Revenue Per Visitor as the headline metric

Once your payment gateway is connected, RPV surfaces across the product: on the main dashboard, broken down by source, campaign, landing page, product, and device. The number you actually want to see, front and center.

03. Full channel → order attribution

Every order is joined back to the session and source that generated it. See which UTM campaigns paid rent, which organic keywords converted, and which social channels wasted your time — all in one screen.

04. Multi-step conversion funnels

Map the journey from landing page → product view → add to cart → checkout → purchase. See exactly where drop-off happens. Optimize the step that's costing you the most revenue.

05. Real-time orders stream

Watch orders come in live. See which landing page the buyer arrived on, what they browsed, and how long they took to convert. Useful during launches, flash sales, and ad campaigns.

Frequently asked questions

Does Clarvivo work with Shopify?

Yes. Install is a 2-line script dropped into your theme's `theme.liquid` file, plus a small snippet on the order status page to track purchases. Full setup takes under 10 minutes. There's no Shopify App Store listing yet — the integration is theme-level JavaScript.

Does Clarvivo work with WooCommerce?

Yes. Download the Clarvivo WordPress plugin (ZIP), upload it in the WordPress admin, activate, and paste your API key. Orders are tracked automatically. The plugin is not on the official WordPress.org marketplace yet — it's distributed directly.

What if I use BigCommerce, Magento, or a custom platform?

Any platform works — you install the base tracking script manually and call `clarvivo.purchase()` on your order confirmation page with the order details. We publish code examples for common platforms in the setup guide.

How does Clarvivo handle refunds and cancellations?

Refunded orders are reflected in revenue numbers once the refund event syncs from your payment gateway. Cancelled orders are excluded from RPV calculations automatically.

Do I need to disable Google Analytics?

No — most teams run both in parallel for 30–60 days to validate data, then turn off GA4 for day-to-day use while keeping the historical account accessible.

Is this GDPR and CCPA compliant for EU customers?

Yes. Clarvivo uses server-side API calls rather than cookies. No consent banner is required for analytics purposes. (You may still need a banner for other third-party scripts like ad pixels.)
