Check the LinkedIn conversion signal your browser sends

Use a public success page to audit Insight Tag activity without creating a lead or accessing LinkedIn.

Public conversion page

Inspect browser-visible LinkedIn Insight Tag requests on the page where a lead or purchase should complete; no form is submitted.

This tool answers: Does LinkedIn receive the expected browser-side conversion signal?

Enable JavaScript to run the check — the diagnosis itself is free and needs no account.

Why this happens

LinkedIn campaigns tend to be expensive per click, which makes accurate conversion tracking more valuable. LinkedIn conversions rely on the Insight Tag, either through page-load rules on a thank-you URL or event-specific conversions fired from your site.

Insight Tag setups often stop at the base tag. The tag fires on every page, audiences build, and the account shows no conversions, because the conversion rule points to an old URL or the event-specific conversion was never added to the success state.

This checker loads the page where a lead or purchase should complete and reports whether LinkedIn's Insight Tag fired and whether a conversion signal was sent.

How this check works

So you can trust the result — and your developer can verify it.

  1. We load the conversion page

The public page is opened in an isolated browser without submitting anything.

  2. We capture Insight Tag requests

Requests to LinkedIn's collection endpoint are recorded with any event information.

  3. We check for a conversion signal

We report whether only the base tag fired or a conversion event was observed.

Common causes and fixes

Insight Tag missing
Install the base tag site-wide, including landing pages on other builders.
Conversion rule uses an old URL
Page-load conversions depend on the URL rule matching the current thank-you page.
Event-specific conversion not wired
If you use event-specific conversions, the event must fire on success, not on click.
Lead Gen Forms tracked separately
Conversions from LinkedIn's native Lead Gen Forms happen on LinkedIn, not your site, and won't appear here.

Frequently asked questions

Can it see LinkedIn's Conversions API?
No. Server-side events aren't visible in the browser.
Why are my LinkedIn conversions zero?
Usually the conversion rule doesn't match the page, or the event-specific conversion doesn't fire on success.
Does it submit a form?
No. The scan is passive, so no test lead is created in LinkedIn or your CRM.
What about Lead Gen Forms?
They convert inside LinkedIn and don't involve your site's Insight Tag.
Which page should I test?
The page shown after a successful lead or purchase.
